🚨 SMOKE TESTS
We've been working our butts off to get the Dreadquarters survey put together and are nearly there. This is such an important part of crowdfunding: it's how we collect information like your shipping address, confirm your pledge, and allow you to make adjustments on your end.
A smoke test sends this survey to a small percentage of backers first, allowing us to make sure that everything is working correctly before sending it to everyone. All you have to do is keep an eye on your email and follow the prompts.
If you are in that initial small percentage, it's essential that you complete the survey as quickly as possible. We can't send the survey to everyone else until the smoke test is completed, so please take a moment to fill it out. Thank you thank you thank you!

The Dreadquarters Kickstarter has officially ended!
WOW! In the final hour of the campaign, you pushed us past $77k! We really, truly cannot believe how far this project was able to go. We are so excited! Here are some numbers, for the villains who love calculations:

Second Chance Community Deck
107 of you voted on the second chance community deck, and the winner has been chosen: The Return (Dinosaurs) Villain Deck!
Like the other community choice decks, we will commission unique card frames and dozens of original illustrations from human artists to bring this deck to life. We'll even will work alongside the community on our Discord server to iterate on the theme and mechanics: Are these dinosaurs who have always existed? Genetically engineered? Thawed from ice? We hope you'll help us figure these things out and more by joining the conversation on Discord!

Final Day of Dreadquarters!
Holy crap, Villains! What a campaign! We are nearing the end with just about 24 hours to go, and truly never imagined we'd get this much support.
Over the length of the Kickstarter, we reached over 500 backers, and were funded over 600% of our goal. You also unlocked every stretch goal including all of the Community Expansion decks. Thank you so much for your support!

Build Your Dreadquarters Near a Familiar Locale
The second Community-Choice Expansion Deck for Dreadquarters will be Innsmouth!

With an overwhelming 49% of the vote, Innsmouth was the clear winner for the next City Deck for Dreadquarters! Canonically located less than an hour's drive from Headlock Games, Innsmouth is a fictional Massachusetts fishing town with a terrible secret and inhabitants who have been... changed. Created by H.P. Lovecraft in his 1936 novella "The Shadow over Innsmouth", the town is chock full of inspiration for exciting new invaders, mechanics, and threats.
As the community has chosen, we will add Innsmouth as a City Deck in the Dreadquarters Community Expansion, allowing players to show the residents of Innsmouth that there's an even greater evil to worry about than their own.
Like the other community choice decks, we will commission unique card frames and dozens of original illustrations from human artists to bring this deck to life. Despite the absurd nature of this game, we care a lot about being respectful to source material, so don't expect a generic "just add tentacles!" interpretation of Innsmouth. We will work alongside the community on our Discord server to iterate on the theme and mechanics, and we hope you'll join the conversation!

You've absolutely blown this campaign out of the water! We are in the final days of the campaign and you've pushed through all of our planned stretch goals. You all must really love villains!
All that being said, we aren't done yet! We have a few more polls to complete. The Community Built Expansion Hazard Deck requests have been closed now that we reached the next stretch goal!

Community Choice Hazard Deck Poll
Below is the poll that includes Paul and Dan's choices from the community submitted Hazard Deck ideas. These were some of our favorite concepts pulled from your submissions.
Again, there were so many great ideas here! But we had to make sure to narrow things down based on overall fit with Dreadquarters, as well as avoiding overlap with content we're already developing, and making sure each option offers a strong, distinct gameplay identity.

Just because an idea didn’t make this poll doesn’t mean it wasn’t awesome. Many were very close calls, and we had to make some tough decisions to keep things focused and cohesive.
Whichever option receives the most votes will be made into a full Hazard Deck. We’ll commission original art and bring the concept to life. We'll also have design discussions, iteration, and playtesting happening for this deck in our Discord, so make sure to join in!
